Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply to our quotations, bookings, deliveries and orders across haulage, container sales and modular buildings.

Last updated: September 2026

1. About these terms

These terms and conditions govern the supply of services by DBC Logistics & Haulage Ltd (company number 09602159), registered at 8 Northlands Road, Totton, Southampton, SO40 3GZ. Placing an order confirms your acceptance of these terms.

2. Quotations

Quotations are based on the information supplied at the time of enquiry and are normally valid for 30 days. If the load, container specification, access arrangements or site conditions differ from those described, we may need to revise the price before proceeding.

3. Bookings

A booking is confirmed once we have accepted your instruction in writing (including by email) and, where applicable, received any deposit due. Timed slots are offered in good faith and may be affected by traffic, weather, port operations or supplier lead times.

4. Prices and payment

Prices exclude VAT unless stated otherwise. New clients usually pay in advance for small haulage jobs and container purchases. Container and modular orders may require a deposit before fabrication, refurbishment or collection begins.

Late payment may incur interest and reasonable recovery costs under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

5. Delivery and site access

You are responsible for ensuring safe, legal and adequate access for HGVs, cranes or HIAB offloading, including ground conditions, overhead obstructions and any permissions or permits required. Wasted journeys or waiting time caused by unsuitable access may be chargeable.

Delivery dates are estimates. We will keep you informed of any delay and will not be liable for losses arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control.

6. Goods and condition

Shipping containers are sold as new (one-trip) or used grades as described at the point of sale. Used units may show cosmetic wear, surface rust or repaired patches consistent with their grade. Modular buildings are supplied to the agreed specification; minor variations in finish or materials may occur.

7. Risk and title

Risk in goods passes to you on delivery. Title remains with us until payment has been received in full in cleared funds.

8. Cancellations

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before a booked haulage slot are non-refundable. Container and modular orders are subject to the supplier's terms once fabrication, refurbishment or collection has begun.

9. Liability

Haulage services are carried out under the Road Haulage Association (RHA) Conditions of Carriage unless otherwise agreed in writing. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Except as set out above, our total liability in respect of any order is limited to the price paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit or business interruption.

10. Complaints

We aim to resolve issues quickly. Please contact us at info@example.com or +44 (0) 000 000 0000 and we will acknowledge your complaint and set out how we intend to resolve it.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
